SANLORENZO, the prestigious Italian shipyard that
represents the excellence in the production of "tailor made" motor yachts,
go ahead with its renewal policy combined with tradition and presents the
new model SL72.
The restyling of this favorite model evolves a great classic through innovations
intended to enhance the appeal and modernity of a yacht indisputably traceable
to the SANLORENZO fleet.
The outer layout update is reflected in the large crystal windows flush
with the bulwark, the softened lines of the flying bridge and no side air
intakes. Also the blue line above the portholes was eliminated. The resulting
yacht has a light, harmonious profile with a timeless elegance pertaining
to top quality products far removed from ephemeral fashion.
The internal layout has just a few "unalterable" elements – only those subjected
to bottom or structural limitations. For the rest, the layout is shaped
to the needs of the end user. On board on each SANLORENZO, the design’s
distinctive details reflect the owner from the interior layout to the choice
of woods, furniture design and finish, fabrics, leathers and marbles… Very
much in keeping with the elegance found in a fine custom home.
The SL72 is a 22m motor yacht, designed to comfortably accommodate up to
eight guests plus two crew members. The main salon contains a convenient
living area and a dining zone. Whether the decor, the wide windows let in
plenty of light resulting in a very bright room. Thanks to the high degree
of customization, the Owner can choose any arrangement, shape, color of
furnishings or materials he/she likes, thus creating the most comfortable
and agreeable environment. Entering the salon of the SL72 from the cockpit,
a separate space to be used as a galley is provided starboard, then there
is the wheelhouse. The pilote house ideally combines technology and craftsmanship:
the leather-upholstered console integrates sophisticated instrument panels
in a functional manner.
On the bridge, portside, there is a ladder giving access to the lower deck
where the cabins are located and served by efficiently-arranged and spacious
lobbies. The SL72 is offered as a 3-cabin or 4-cabin yacht. The version
with four cabins (all with private bathroom) accommodates a VIP cabin forward,
two double cabins opening to the main passage and the master cabin with
a relax area, a large bathroom and a spacious dressing room amidships.
Outside, on the after end of the main deck there is a wide and convenient
cockpit furnished with a 8-seat table in teak. The swimming platform of
the SL72 is finished with a teak grating and fitted with a practical small
ladder enabling to plunge into the sea or coming onboard easily. The large
sunbathing zone forward can be easily accessed by two side passageways protected
by a high bulwark finished with a teak caprail and a stainless steel handrail.
The flying bridge (housing the outer steering position) can be accessed
from the saloon through a ladder located portside, in way of the dining
zone. The exterior relax areas include a wide sunbathing area and a corner
equipped with an angle sofa and a table. The tender and the self-inflatable
rafts are arranged at aft end and operated by means of a electro-hydraulic
davit.
Two engine versions are offered on the SL72: 2 MTU 10V2000M92 or 2 MTU 10V2000M93
developing 1390 HP and 1520 HP respectively. The expected speed is 31 knots
and 32/33 knots at half-load. Nevertheless, such excellent speed performance
is not the most appealing feature of this yacht since – as any SANLORENZO
model - comfort under way and seakeeping prevail over sprint. As a matter
of fact the SL72 is a powerful yacht ploughing the waves at a firm and fluid
pace, thus passengers can enjoy sailing aboard a sturdy yacht designed to
offer top comfort and safety levels.
