BLAST

    * A quick movement of the throttle control activates the BLAST TM system, advancing the ignition curve aggressively. 'Hole shot' is vastly improved as more horsepower gets the hull up on plane quicker.


PROGRAMMED ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION

    * Delivers the precise amount of fuel/air to each cylinder. The result is easy starts and instant throttle response with superior fuel efficiency.


ECOmo

    * Along with Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection, the BF60 incorporates Lean Burn Control technology, which allows combustion to operate on a leaner air/fuel ratio than stoichiometric air/fuel. An O2 sensor, together with the ECM, precisely controls the air/fuel mixture for the best fuel economy at cruise setting. The mode in which lean burn control is used during cruising to achieve higher fuel economy is referred to as ECOmo (Economy Controlled Motor).


NMEA2000 COMPATIBLE

    * The BF60 can communicate with onboard electronics to deliver a wide-range of information to head-unit displays. When networked with a Lowrance HDS unit, for example, engine data such as speed, revs, temperature, fuel usage and other data can be displayed on the unit’s screen.


HIGH PERFORMANCE GEARCASE

    * Designed to get you going faster,this all new gearcase reduces drag, reduces hull porpoising and minimises spray, thus increasing acceleration and top speed.


SUPERIOR BATTERY CHARGING

    * A multi-pole AC generator (ACG) provides 22amp of battery charging capacity! Ample power for onboard marine electronics, livebait tanks and other equipment.


MULTI-FUNCTION TILLER HANDLE

    * The multi-function tiller handle incorporates a power trim-tilt switch in the throttle grip, so the operator can trim the engine while underway and remain completely focused on the water. Other tiller handle functions include handle height adjustment, throttle friction adjustment and tool-less steering grip friction adjustment. The reversible shift lever can be mounted on either the left or right side.


TROLLING CONTROL SWITCH

    * The tiller handle also comes standard with a trolling control switch, which allows the operator to make fine speed adjustments (per 50rpm between 750rpm and 1000rpm) with a single switch operation.


CORROSION PROTECTION SYSTEM

    * A patented 'Double Sealed' multi-layered paint process. Sacrificial anodes and stainless steel technology, along with water resistant connectors, all enhance corrosion protection.


ENGINE ALERT SYSTEM

    * Uses visual, audio and rpm reduction circuits to alert the operator of overheating, low oil PSI and over-revving, preventing engine damage.


MIKUNI INTAKE SYSTEM

    * Honda’s BF60 engine features the lightweight Mikuni long tube intake track system, which helps build low-end torque.


POWER THRUST

    * A large gear case allows mounting of a propeller one size larger than that best suited to the standard BF60. The Power Thrust gear case and larger diameter propeller results in greater thrust, which is particularly useful in commercial applications.
